yall should go vote for the backpacking/ hiking forum in the supporter area. We have talked about it several times and I think it would be great. We will need some volunteers for mods I think, so if your down post in my thread over yonder.
If your not a supporter yet, get off your ass and spend the $5... they have discounts for the 6 month and 1 year memberships now too. I gots hooked up with a six monther. If you didnt know it opens up a whole new forum, which we are populating with our own sub forums. This is our chance to get exactly what we want here at the shroomery and it only costs a fin. DO IT!

I would be upset if there was a backpacking/hiking forum and I could not see it!
I have not, and probably will not sign up as a supporter. Its not a money thing. Truth is that I'd happily pay for the Shroomery. This site is worth every bit of $5 a month to me. Hell, I'd probably pay more than that! But this whole supporter thing has seemed a little clique-ish right from the start. And I don't want to be associated with something that seems to be excluding others. I just don't want to fly the little "S" tag next to my name. If I could join and remain anonymous I would. But so far no one has told me this is a possibility.
Oh, and the colored names have just gotten completely out of hand!

The only reason Im doing this in the suporter forum thing is cause they are making it possible to make our own forums there. If we were able to make a new forum for everyone to participate in, then it would be geat. But it seems like we've suggested the idea before and gotten nowhere with it. I wish it didnt have to seem so elitest, but thats how it turned out I suppose.
