<<IVE ONLY SAW PINNS IN THE JARS>>
So wait, are you saying your jars are pinning invitro (in the jars) right now? or thats what youve seen in the past? If you had pins in the jar and you cased that jar, those pins may rot.
<<DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THEY TAKE LONGER TO PINN ITS BEEN A WEEK>>
This depends on a number of things. How thick is your casing layer? Did you cold shock and light shock to let the mycelium know that its time? Did you do this before it mycelium completely covered the surface? Is the mycelium fluffy and bright white?

THEN I PUT A LAYER OF BROKEN UP COLONIZED SUBSTRATE THEN MY CASING 3/4IN DEEP. I DID COLD SHOCK THE JAR FOR 20 HRS. BEFORE I BROKE IT UP. THE INCUBATED IT FOR TWO DAYS TILL I SAW PATCHES MYCL.BREAKING THROUGH THE CASING.THEN ADDED 12 HRS LIGHT BLUE SPEC DROP TEMPS DOWN TO 70-74.HAVEN'T OVER MISTED THE CASING AND MYCL. LOOKS NICE WHITE HEALTHY. I DONT HAVE OVERLAY . THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY APPRECIATE ANY ADVISE

I believe you may be confused as to the purpose of cold shocking. You don't want to cold shock the jars before you break them up and case them, because as you said, you had yet to incubate the casing...So basically you told the myc "its time to pin!" and just when they were all excited you say "no, time to incubate!".....so point is, i think you may have just stunted the growth a bit, but they should be fine. Keep doing 12/12 light and dark and at this point only mist if it looks like its drying out. Assuming the relative humidity is above 75% (remember we're dealing with casings here), the casings shouldn't dry out very fast and u should see results very soon. GL and are you able to take the CAPS off?
