Why is looking in a mirror a bad thing?

Ive done it everytime ive tripped, not knowing it was a 'bad' thing to do, usually im just wide eyed, skinny as a poll (im a real broad guy) and have a huge forehead, nothing too scary about that - then again i havnt seen anyone turn into a demon yet either though,

so my question is, whats the deal?
what have some people seen while looking at them self?

Some people see their faces grow lots of hair, warts, etc. Sometimes people will just look uglier than usual to themselves which results from and plays upon their insecurities about their appearance. This is just what I have heard.

When I look into the mirror tripping I see billions of cells all functioning together to form my thoughts and my body. Not necesarilly a bad thing.

when ever i trip tooking at the mirror...i see the backround melting....then my face...SLOWLY...but enough to tell...I start to think weird when im tripping...i see my pupils and how big they are, and think "if they're that big, obviously somethings wrong"...then i start getting "the fear", thinking by body feals weird...its not right...so i see shit melting, thinking my theres something wrong with my brain (because my pupils are so big) and by body feals REALLY wierd...and it automatically goes into a bad trip...all because i chose to take just one gander into the mirror.
so instead of all this...i stear clear if mirrors

WE CANT STOP HERE!!!!....THIS IS BAT COUNTRY

life.....its sexually transmitted and always fatal.

Its not taht its neccessaril;y a bad thing, its just one of those things taht tend to set people off in a bad way.... more often than not... i am USUALLY fine when i look into the mirror.... i often want to see what happens, be it good or bad, to peer into my sub-concious.... but one timei thought i saw my face melting, and spent the majority of the rest of my trip trying to put it back together.... which is REALLY hard to do when your nose keeps sliding off of your face.

I don't think it's a bad thing for some people,but for others it can be scary. One time I turned the scariest freaking a demon you can imagine.That was a bit disturbing,and I started thinking that maybe it was real and that the LSD was allowing me to see it.I had to get myself out of that little trip and I did fine. Another time I completely melted. I watched my arms melt off my boddy and land in a puddle then the rest of me started melting. It was pretty wild. When I was younger I challanged myself often to stare in the mirror and just deal with what I saw. Often it was frightening,but after wards it made me feel mentally strong. Made me feel like I faced my biggest fears and survived. I can also really freak somebody out and send them into a bad trip.So,it all depends on you.

I'll agree with boneyDragon about the insecurities thing... Some people will look at themselves and go "what a fat ugly person" or something like that. This comes out during the trip because you open up, and your insecurities come out..

Whenver I look in the mirror, I see tiny dots all over my face.

Most times when i look in the mirror tripping, i look pretty normal, as long as i dont study every little thing about me.
One time i thought i looked really nice looking, and that was weird because i know a lot of people who say they often look really ugly.
Another time i was looking at my face, and i turned into a black man (I'm white) and that was really really weird.
But then i realised i could just make myself look like pretty much anything if i thought about it long enough.

I find looking a mirror very interesting. I find that my consciouseness moves between myself and my reflection, and I'm never sure if I'm looking at a reflection of myself, or if I'm a reflection looking out at the world.

i personnaly dont like mirrors, even when im not tripping. when i do trip i am usually at my friends house, and i use the bathroom a few times, and the mirror is inignorable. my face is uasually just really red, and my hair is all matted down and retarded. one time at an am/pm i stared at the mirror and my face had tons of little wierd colored greenish squares, like a crappy video game looks. i also notice that this green square effect also takes place when i watch tv.

maybe i havnt taken a strong enough dose for it to freak me out yet, hopefully ill know before hand if im tripping too hard to look into the mirror, the weirdest thing thats happend was i began thinking that the mirror was a portal to another demension, and when i touch it it rippled, it was really a cool effect..

It's fun if you do it deliberately, knowing what you may expect. My favorite trick is to take a glowstick by my waist, so I have shadows on my face. Note that I'm a hairy fellow (goatee, no mustache, sideburns) and have relatively sharp canine teeth. I then bring my friend into the bathroom and have them watch as first my face turns into a werewolf, then I start to "pull" my face apart, by tugging on my cheeks, nose, ears, mouth, jaw, etc, very slowly and acting like it's coming apart. *grin* They love it or hate it, but they all are fascinated.

Boneydragon is right.

People who are insecure about themselves, people who arent that attractive, and all kinds of different shit like that can bother someone when they look in the mirror when they are tripping.

It doesn't only happen to these kinds of people.

Its kinda scary for some to glance in the mirror and see their face all different, even though its just an illusion, people don't wanna understand that when they are freaked out.

The very first time i dosed up on acid i took some really strong shit, not really knowing to much of what to expect i tripped really hard. finally one of my buddies says the next time you go to the bath room stare into the mirror. so the next time go in i stare into the mirror notice weird things happening to my face, at this point i try to wash my face when iam drying my face off i look back into the mirror an notice that i have wiped all my skin off this fascinated me fo so long especially how i was able to see my skull so detailed it looked so real. I have also see the bathroom flip up side down looking through the mirror.

The last few times I tripped, it was very nice.
My body looked like it was made of shinning bronze. I couldn't get over how beautiful I looked, like a greek god or heroe.

Then again, many years ago, I remember looking in the mirror and becoming cartoonish, which did scare me a bit.

It depends on your mood/personality. Sometimes I peer into the mirror and I don't like so bad, but when I'm a bit edgy or something, I'll look really hideous in the mirror, rashes appear, my skin turns to a disgusting mess. Sometimes it can help self esteem if you look into the mirror and you think positive things about what you see.

I usually dont adhere to things, or rules. If you want to look na mirror, go for it.
I dont make it a point to seek out a mirror, but I always find myself gazing into one, at some point during the trip.
But I'm so gorgeous, thats bound to happen!

And I love it, until my skin comes away.

Some people see theirselves as they really are and this is something people do not want to see.

Let it know what is in your mind not what is on your mind.

Once i got looken in the mirror and i was getting feelings of this is not me. I dont look like me. I started looking at my hands and arms everything felt alien. Then somthing esle distracted me and i was cool and forgot about it till the next day.
