How Much Did i Have ?!

hey,

Last night me and my friend had some shrooms. Unfortunately, we didnt have any scales. Because i am not an experienced shroomer i didnt really have much of a clue about weighing mushrooms by sight. We took some, waited for a bit and then ate the rest. a couple of hours later i was out of this word, strong Hallucinations beyond belief :laugh:

I would really like to know how much i actually had.

we started off with 30 grams of wet shrooms, with a mix of Thai , Mexican and Columbian. and dried them in the oven for a couple of hours. I assume that the weight of the mushrooms decreases dramatically when you dry them.
we shared all the mushrooms 50:50 . Does anybody have an idea of a rough estimate of the weight in the 30grams of shrooms after they were dried ? :grin:

most people say dried shrooms only weigh 10% of what fresh shrooms weigh.

well that would be 1.5 grams dry, but dryin them in the oven is likley to decrease the potency! so im not 100% sure on that one

Drying them in the oven was really ineffective. The best way to dose reliably is to get them cracker dry with fan and/or desiccant, and weight them out on an accurate digital scale. Don't go by the 10% rule either, it's rarely accurate. I've seen 100 wet grams dry out to 7.0 dry, and 50 wet grams dry out go 6.0 dry. You do the math, but like I'm trying to tell people-dosing fresh is a gamble.

It means to remove as much moisture as possible by fan drying on a screen for a few days, then removing the rest with desiccant. (Damp rip) It's something you need to learn if you plan on storing shrooms and dosing accurately. More here:

7 dry/100 wet = 7%; 6 dry/50 wet = 12%; - so 10% seems to be a safe guess. but you're right that proper drying is always more reliable, no matter what percentage it comes out to.
