i purchased 1 gram of 10x extract Salvia earlier today with the intent to do some tonight. i just took a bowl of .5 and nothing happened, any suggestions?

Did you use waterpipe - gas torch - and hold for 20 seconds?

i bought it from a headshop called THC in toronto, i used a normal bic ligher(yes i know i shoulda bought a torch) and i held each hit 20-30 seconds

Need to burn your saliva at very high temps, a bic just wont cut it, compared to a torch.
Guy at headshop made sure I had a torch before I left, good thing he did.

A regular lighter and a small pipe work fine for me. They may be trying to pass off plain leaf for extract though. In that case, you'd probably want to go the torch/bong route.

You can get a torch at any gas station the windproof lighters are just torches.
Does anyone know where i can buy salvia seeds .please pm me

Salvia is like no other experiance... I thought I had seen everything. Then Lady Salvia bitched slapped me into her world for a bit, while my body in the real world walked around and drooled on itslelf.
Me and about 6 friends tried saliva for the first time. Each one of us blacked or was 'bearly there' for about 2-8min - some longer. Pretty freaky, I went first (1/16th gram of x20, shoulda been 1/50th) People thought I was joking around, but i wasn't. Good thing I had a super trip sitter.

Took about 15min to get all my marbles back in my head. Clean up the drool, straighen' all the funiture.
I could not stop thinking about what I saw and felt once I could think staight again. My 'trip' came back to me in 'waves' throughout the night, (and next day) and I felt a sort of ease come over my body like that 'OH, okay, THATS what happened, not so scary now' type-o feeling.
Needless to say, I ordered some less potent stuff the next day (x5 and some x10) and should be here soon :P

I've broken through on salvia once, and it was unbelievably insane, but not as terrifying as a scary mushroom trip I had. During the experience I felt uncomfortable and really confused, but not terrified. When I came back, I felt really happy that I had gone through with it and experienced that.
However, it must have caused me some major fear in my subconscious, because I am literally petrified about trying it again. Every time I even think about trying it again I get this weird panicky feeling in my stomach/heart/mind. I have to do it again though...I have to face my fear! But yeah...salvia is no joke.
The best advice I ever got about salvia and fear: "Don't worry, it's pointless. You won't have time to worry."
I found that true. After I inhaled two huge puffs, in less then a blink of an eye, I was "there." I had no time to even think and muster up a fear about it, I could only deal with it.
Of course, now that I know what salvia is all about, I'm TERRIFIED of trying it again. I went out and bought several grams of 10x and 20x so I know I'm going to be visiting the Lady again...but damn it, I'm worried! It's just my silly human fears.

For me, some terror is a small price to pay for such an unforgetable experience. Believe it or not, for many people psychedelics aren't always about having 'fun.'
You asked why people keep using salvia if it's so scary...well, the answer obviously varies from person to person, but most people keep going back because they think despite the fear it's worth it.
