I finally have a digital camera, a damn good one too. Sony P-93, $300, a bargain if you're looking for a good digital camera that's easy to use.
if you live in southeast texas, the cubensis are unavoidable right now. If you ever wanted to start mushroom hunting, right now would be a good time.
non-mushroom pics
longhorn:
big old tree
tree eating a board
beautiful tree!
that's all for now... the quality of these pics is astounding, you should see the uncompressed ones!

yo bro, No prob-- Yeaa I know what you mean- and it has been raining like Mad here in Texas- and Im still waitin for my 2nd finds this year, They were everywhere (mostly copes) when it poured damn near the whole month of Oct
Ive expected them to be there with the warming/rain trends as of late but nothing- Im sure it will be soon.
go back to the month of Oct/Nov and you can see my pix- quite a few of them, of my harvests
yeaa I fig it was Houston or further east due to the Swampyness I saw in the background of those Huge Live Oaks or whatever they are

off-topic somewhat, but the trees here like to eat barb-wire... it looks really strange.

Great pics
Lots of rain here in San Antonio, there are some horse corals/pastures around but I'd rather not even bother, 'cause I know they usually dont grow on horse crap. If anyone knows contrary, please let me know If anyone knows of some good cattle fields around SA, please PM me!

Its awesome to see finds during these times of the year.
What were the tempreture when you found those beutiful specimans. I might have to go looking out in some of my fields around here.Maybe I will get lucky....But until then I will just look at pictures of my finds from over the years and reminese about the fruitful days. This summer should be nice.

You're right about the west nile breeding ground comment. During summer the mosquitos are so bad here that I don't like going outside! If you try going out at night with a flashlight, you're doomed.

What was the temperature like when you found those. I might go out tomorrow after this rain during the day.when the temps are higher.
You complain about mosquito's in Texas. I surprised I don't have a new kind of west nile after all that hunting I did while in south Louisiana. They didn't have enough off at wal mart...I went in there every night and bought a can. They were awful.

it was in the 60's for the high and humid. You should go hunting if you got all that rain over the past week.
