The Grateful Dead is medicine to my soul.
    #3772147 - 02/12/05 10:03 PM (12 years, 5 months ago)

Given the circumstances of many unfortunate events surrounding me in my life the last month or so, Ive been in a terribly depressed and bad mood. I try to hide it when i with friends but everyone sees through it i know. Today was an especially bad day because i found out my EX-gf (now) might be pregnant with the guy from her work that i have mentioned in a few other threads. All this shit is barely enough for me to handle...on top of the wonderful news i was up all night cause i took some adderall(Ive been reckless with my drug usage lately) i worked all day. And i cant fucking get a hold of her to see what the pregnancy test is. Im going nuts.

but for some reason today i threw on one of my tie-dyes....i havent worn one in a while...i guess people thought something was up with that too lol...and im driving home...bought some beer for some freinds...too tired to party...so im driving and i just pick a random cd. Dick's Picks 7 cd1! :heartpump: :gd_icon: :heartpump:

All of the sudden i was high as a kite driving down the road with a HUGE grin and tears of joy. Scarlet Begonias was so jamming i felt like i was there just dancing my feet off....id just like to give thanks for to the dead for working in there mystical and wonderful ways. :gd_icon: :sun: Shine On Brothers and Sisters! :sun: :gd_icon:

Try not staying up all night on amphetamines when you have to work the next day.

I dont think the cops will buy your "how was i supposed to get home" argument, after you fall asleep at the wheel and kill somebody.

And I suppose you've never driven anywhere when you've been tired?

I can definitely understand this type of internal conflict.

Let me pass along some advice, rather than immediately pounding on you for being 'irresponsible'. (haven't we all driven when we strictly shouldn't have?)

If you're going through a bad time, don't do drugs. It's that simple. Alcohol and other drugs will give a temporary relief, but more likely they'll cause trouble.

Exhaustive physical activity coupled with some intense meditation will give better results than any drug out there.

If you find you're getting irresponsible with your drug use (your words), exercise EXTREME CAUTION, please. The last thing we need is another emotionally unstable, drug-addicted young adult in this world.

Peace to you.

Man...i feel so much better today. Yeah im worried about her...but i dont know what it is...i just feel like dancing witht he tunes in my head....i guess im just getting out of the funk i was in....i hear you aboutt he alchohol and drug usage thing. I stay away from the really hard stuff so thats not a problem. But i have been taking my share of xanax and the like. But no more for me...i dont need that shit...only medicine i need is the vibes from the headphones. It gives me hope...becasue i know that sometimes you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.
