Its about f@#k'n time! My cake has finally started to pin..a total of about 6. Now that Ive made it to this point :).....how long before they are mature. Ive read 2-5 days?.. Also Ive read that when spraying cakes..stop once you see pinning? The newbie I am, I had a humidifier prob. in my set-up so I went to the poor man. I have only sprayed twice ( past two days) and add moisture when I did my double end casing tek. But my assumtion by the looks of things is that my cake is still dry. Pinns are forming near the top damp verm layer. Should I chill on the spraying? ( Like ive read ) Or maybe spray once or twice more? At least more than one opinion would be helpfull. Thanks.

Yep, 3-5 days until the veils tear; pick them then...

Don't spray them anymore... Try adding some moist verm to the bottom of the cake. Or, after this first flush, dunk the cake for 12 hours. This will help it out a lot.
