substrate for taste?

im quirious about this and i have no idea on what to typ in the search thingy so plz excuse if its a double post.

Is there anything u can do in the way of nutrition do alter
some of the characteristics of shrooms?

for instance: is there some kind of nute that will make it taste better? or maybe alter its color?

Yes, the substrate does affect some of the characteristics. Darker composts generally produce darker specimens. As well, darker grains tend to produce darker specimens in relation to lighter grains. The psilocybin and psilocin levels vary with substrate type as well.

It reasons that the taste can be dependent on the substrate as well. I personally can't tell any taste differences, but I am sure a well trained palet could.
