Brighr Outlook (Photoshop painting)

Made in Photoshop 7 from scratch...no plug ins, third party programs or filters, photographs or clip art used...Photo-free Photoshop is getting fun...

I really like the trees and well, like ther whole thing together, but I see alot of room for improvemet if you wanna add to the picture. First off....those 2 purple parrots on each side seem a like they dont fit into the picture.
Good JOB!!! with the colors.

the colors of the sky are perfect, and I like the details of the trees and the border.

If I may, I think the sky could be blended together in the middle a little better.

Overall, very cool picture

GREAT choice of colors. usually when i'm using photoshop to make up stuff i don't even bother to put anything with any 'substance' in there, like trees, or anything like that, but you pulled it off pretty well. very interesting.

Thanx for the input.
There is actually a lot of room for improvement here...I'm still in the early stages of figuring out photoless Photoshop..It is very tricky to do...using paint or pencils is probebly easier, but I love the challenge.;)
I've sort of learned art backwards...started with photo images, and now I'm finally learning how to draw and paint from scratch. Traditional techniques work really well in Photoshop...and there is so much to learn...the fun will never end.
My advice for anyone starting in Photoshop is to throw away the manuals, (gibberish written by and for techno geeks) and smoke your face off with some great pot while entertaining yourself with all the  neat buttons. Sooner or later, the chaos will fade and turn into something that is all your own and a part of you...not a clone of a manual or tutorial.
The way I look at it...dosn't matter if its great or sucks...
As long as it is original and pleasure and/or knowledge was derived or shared from its creation, it was a worthwhile experiance that should be repeated as much as possible
