cheese. So what if I spelled it wrong, a 2 year old would have figured it out. Unless, that is, you really don't know what muenster cheese is.

I sometimes add lemon juice or different nuts, or pineapple, just whatever fresh stuff is around.

Hmmm, I'm from England as well and I hadn't heard of it either.
When I searched either "munster" or "muenster" on google.com I just get a load of German stuff but no mention about cheese..
Here we go
Quote:
Muenster Cheese
A semi-soft cheese produced in North America from pasteurized cow's milk that may, at times be confused with the European Munster cheese.
I class myself as a cheese lover and I've never heard of either!
Gonna have to hunt it down
On the subject of salads, pears, strawberries, fresh peaches, seedless grapes, blue cheese, parmesan, sharp cheddar, walnuts are all nice additions to a salad.
I'm hungry now..

I love Munster cheese. It's pretty easy to find where I live (I'm in the US though and you're in England), you should check it out if you like your cheese.

Sorry if I sounded snotty, I thought everybody knew of muenster cheese. and, well, you know how spelling conscious people can get.
Muenster is soooooo yummy. I make lots of stuff with it. Grilled cheese, pizza, tacos, soup...

Nice! I've just had a salad I haven't made before.
walnut, orange, watercress and rocket salad. I made the dressing from balsamic vinegar, walnut oil and the fresh juice left over from slicing the orange.
It was quite tasty served with steak

Now that sounds like an awesome salad.
Soups and Salad can be so various, throw thogether a bunch of stuff, and, like magic, you have a meal!

You can find munster in even the most backwoods Wally World. Kind of expensive for what it is but very creamy and soft- It's easy to eat a shitload of it on dry bread. I like to go to Publix and buy a bunch of random cheeses to cook with (or eat while I am supposed to be cooking with them). One of my favorite salads is shavings of large carrots, red cabbage, romaine(sp), dried pumpernickle made into croutons (this makes the nut), and speaking of nuts- walnuts. Top lightly with blue cheese (home-made of course). This is why this forum is so difficult for me- I have to go eat everytime I go here- same reason I can't watch the chefing networks.
