I'm not 100% sure where to post this, but as it's a mindfuck I thought I'd post it here

Everything in reality just "is". It's not even that, it purely exists(or not depending on your beliefs but that isn't what this is about). What you look at now is what you call a screen. It's not. That's purely something our language has labelled that thing that you are looking at.

Just some stonned museings, anybody care to crush my hopes and beliefs or elaborate on them if possible?

If everything simply is... then why is there evolution, emerging phenomena on higher order, and increasing complexity? If the sole purpose of existence is to just be, then it should be static... not dynamic (which it "is").

I think what he means is that there is no beginning and no ending, just an infinite and dynamic...this.

That makes more sense. Just because something is changing doesn't mean it doesn't exist while it's changing. It still "is" at all times, through all phases of change.

I'm not sure about that. Quantum mechanics seems to indicate that reality is affected by the observer.

You have found a nice tenet of buddhism. Everything is neutral, perception is judgement. It is kind of like when you see a commercial about this all-organic product, and you think to yourself (i hope) well, isnt everything basically organic? As long as it is from this universe, it is comprised of organic material. Now maybe you cant find tupperware, or a computer growing in the earth, but it is comprised of 100% organic material. In that sense, everything just IS...... like you said.
Revert back to the "if a tree falls in the woods and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?". Well, if we werent here to "percieve" everything, would it still exist? would there still be evil in this world? would there still be good?
