Well i've smelt contams before, not lung fulls, but i know that they arent the best smelling substances in the world...

Well I soaked my wbs for about 20-24 hours and then simmered till some kernals exploded, then I put them in jars...Well they had to sit for about to days in those jars before I pced....Just because I was busy ect ect...Well the lids have 1/8holes in them, i didn't put polyfil in for those 2 days, who cares, gonna pc anyways....Well when I was putting the polyfil in, i noticed that they smelt just like contams....like really foul and rotten smelling....they millit has its shell(hulled?...unhulled?)...And it didn't turn to goo like i originally thought...I know that the pc should kill all contams but should my jars smell like this from only sitting for 2 days?....
thankx

The only thing I can figure is bacterial endospores germinated, it doesn't take very long.

I say PC the funk out of them and let your shrooms feed on the bacterial corpses.
