What type of mixture do you dunk your cakes in? Can you dunk more than one in a container at once? I have heard a mixture of water and h2o2. What percentage? Thank U and Peace to all.

About 10% H202 to water by volume works great. Use any clean container, and load up as many as you can. You'll need a weight of some sort to hold the cakes down, as they will float.

ive never had any issues dunking, put h202 in with the clean water

Only way to mess em up is overdrunk/ drown them, just don't dunk for more than 24 hours.

AFOAF has dunked cakes for 40 hours and they were fine. he has also scored really dry ones with an X on one side about half way through the cake so it would fill back up; it helped. Dont forget to roll in damp sterile verm afterwards.

A stupid question, to be sure, but I'd assume you would (gently) pat dry the dunked cake to remove excess water before rolling it in the verm? Or would you just take the thing straight from the dunk tank and roll it 'round in the verm?

If you take it out while the cake is still wet and roll it in DRY verm, the verm will stick to the cake better..then you can mist it until its soaked.

Simlpy adding an H2O2/H2O solution to the jars has worked well. Just mix up some 1:10 H2O2/H2O. Then, add the solution right into the jars with cakes inside, until they float. Then put the lid back on to push the cake down into the solution.

Put 'em in the fridge for ~24 hours. Then take and dump the solution out in the sink by cracking the lids, then birth as normal.
