Hunting in Northwest Iowa

Can anyone tell me if this is the season for shrooms to be growing in iowa and if so where would be the place to find them (what type of habitat) and weather, and also what kind of shrooms is there out in the midwest. i am quite new at this so i hope i didnt break any of ur rules with these questions thanxs for taking the time to read my post.(I posted this in the Mushroom Cultivation on accident and i apologize again for reposting).

Theres no shrooms listed on "Mapping the Mycelial Network" for Iowa but from what I hear Panaeolus subbalteatus grows pretty much everywhere and is in season. It grows on composted hay and manure often around horse stables and such. You can find info on it on shroomery and also lots of good info at mjshroomers site (mjshroomer.yage.net I think)
