Being smart is just the hard way of being stupid
    #3756183 - 02/09/05 03:38 PM (11 years, 9 months ago)

Im currently at a thinking stage, sorry. I just thought I should express a pretty interesting theory im willing to share. It has to do with being happy, and why the feeble minded are soo god damn blessed with it. If your a thinker, or you just started to think, why dont we put you in group of the intellectuals (dont feel proud or arrogant, stupid people dont think). For the others we observe (dumbasses(sorry)), they are a very essential part of our subconcial study. One we definitely notice is the blissful happiness, so we think, we believe thinking will lead us towards finding that ultimate blissful happiness. This is my impatient conclusion of my unhappiness and I could be very wrong. It would still be a good idea to ask yourself right now if you truly are happy for the intellectuals out there, and if you are or aren't, why? What it seems like to me is that our overspeculation of time trying to find our ultimate knowledge to logically make ourselves happy (which is impossible) is really our fault of taking the narrow gate of life (not heaven) where we see a majority of retards living awesome lives. To think we just dig, and to dig is the specify. Wisdom could just be us creeping into the elements of that one general answer. Ignorance is bliss. This general to specific irony exists everywhere, we look too hard into many things when the answer was right there all along. I dont know if this is me just giving up but it made alot of sense at the time.

I believe awareness and emotional state of mind are not linear as
some think, I think they follow the bell curve. The most ignorant people are usually happier, then as you think more and think you know more you get unhappier because you discover a lot of things you don't like. Then there is a critical spot, the peak of the curve on wich "intellectials" kill themselfs because of how grim the world is. But going further into the awareness things are the same as going deeper into ignorance. Ultimate awareness results in overcoming fears and emotional pain and results in bliss, peace and pure joy.

I see where you coming from, but I think your idea is based on some generalizations (which I don't believe are true). If there are only two kinds of people in this world, dumbasses and intellectuals, then I think the key difference is one is more analytical than the other. If a person goes too far on either end of the intelligence spectrum, the risk for unhappiness increases. In reality, people are all over the spectrum. Whether you're short-yellow bus special or spelling-bee champ special, happiness will come and go.

My dogs are real dumb and real happy. But then they're well fed and sleep in their own room in the house, all their medical and birth control is taken care of, they can play all day until bed time... and they can provide themselves with all the oral sex they can handle.

I don't think any of this is true. I think it's based on acceptance. Look at it this way :

Person A is "dumb" because he doesn't think all the time, he's not a thinker. He just accepts what he sees and lives his life.

Person B is an "intellectual" because he thinks alot. He doesn't accept what he sees and tries to rationalize everything to make it better, and when he fails he gets frustrated and becomes depressed.

It's all about accepting the fact that shit happens, change takes a long time, and there isnt much you can do about it except try your best and try not to get hit by a bus.

Dull people are no more happier or sadder than anyone else. That is a common myth.

Being Smart Makes it Hard to Find Balance.... [Re: Jon]
    #3758170 - 02/09/05 09:24 PM (11 years, 9 months ago)

Simplicity is less stressful....
There is less to worry about....
The more you think, the more you think you know....
It is an illusion, but somehow you DO grow....
The sad part is, you only THINK you know....
And when you realize this, DOHHHH.....!

Blissfully ignorant individuals won't be happy in their next life...you can't escape it.

Some people are just ignorant, others are smart, and others still are wise.

But there is no denying that fat people are jolly.
