small shrooms

So a friend finally got a flush of thai koh-samuis on a pf cake cased with coco fiber. There were between fifteen and twenty shrooms but they were all really small when the veil breaks. The biggest one was maybe an inch and a half tall, weighing not more than one and a half grams wet. Is this normal, or is there any way my friend can improve this?

Improve by using something better than brown rice flour and verm... Also, make the environment better... Good humidity, good temp, and lots of light (sunlight preferred).
