afterbirth questions

i tried scraping off all the verm from the dry layer, but its like really in there and i couldn't get it all off...is that ok? like the cake has lil pieces and bits on it and the top has a whole bunch but u can still see white showing through
and how come all my pins do not have a lil red dot thing at the end like in the pictures? they are just plain white lil things

A little verm left over won't harm anything. Unless you've got little reddish-brown heads, they're not pins.
