Aborts

I recently harvested my first flush of shrooms. I left the ones that weren't quite ready to pick. Now, they have ceast growth and new pins are starting to show up.

My question is, can the aborted mushies be eaten? The stems look sort of pale in colour, the caps a dark brown.

And, will harvesting them cause problems in the later flushes?

They have turned brown because they have started to rot. Pick them ASAP, and next time pick the one's that stop growing before they rot... They should still be ok to eat... As long as they don't get slimy and black...
