I found this in the hunting faq .. "Carpophores larger than wild specimens can be produced by inoculating vegetable compost in clay pots with agar grown mycelium, casing with silica sand/limestone mix, and incubating 4-6 weeks in daylight at 68 degrees F." What is/are Carpophores??

Carpophores are mushrooms. Here's a link to the Shroomery mycology glossary. http://www.shroomery.org/glossary2.php

From the Golden Web Glosary of Botnical Terms:
carpophore 1. The slender prolongation of the floral axis which in the Umbelliferae supports the pendulous ripe carpels. 2. The nonmotile spore of the carposporophyte.

in reference to fleshi fungi: a sporocarp, on the other hand, does refer to the spore production of a mature carpophore.
