pins pins pins pins pins, your logs look so fucking good poppies, you could have steak and shrooms for the upcoming month, or for the rest of your life. my cakes are showing how sexy my pf skills have become. all i see is rhizomorphic growth like fireworks. i knock in the center of the cake so cottony is bauged down in the center where the rhizomorphic is going ape shit on the sides. my first sign of colonization was at the bottom of the jar in the center, im 100% sure my centers colonised =) im smashing these cakes into dust the same way you did it and knock 2 logs with 3 cakes, the 3 day spawn run you had was insane im usualy waiting 2 weeks, infact the last log that i spawned with wild bird seed is not fully colonised yet after 2 weeks. ive lost 5 logs from this last run, and expect to loose this last one. that strain has gone to hell so im using spores instead of clones. im amazed at how long you can keep a clone culture going, it was like 6 months! post more pix man, im probably more nuts about your grow than you are hahahhahahahahha irc.shroomery.org #NooBzHelP im kinda pissed that ive never had a thread as looked at and chanted at as this. good work poppies

Primordia everywhere on both logs and log #2 has 4 pins right next to eachother leading the race, and those pins. Looks like hundreds (lieterally) are on their way that way! I will post next pics when there are some more pins for you to look at...

Alrighty time for another pic update... Waiting for my friend's pinset, but there are about 6-7 pins on log two that decided to come early!

I thought the pinset would be more uniform... would anyone care to comment on that? like some pins now, some later, some later, rather than even full flush? or are these few just ahead of ball and the real pinset is coming?

WOW... only like 20 hours later and the big pin is at least triple the size... there are also several other random pins but dont see an even flush happening, any way to make this happen better, or still not worry because these are all just still ahead of game?

Still waiting for that pinset... I ask someone once a day and every day i get the responce, "wait 24 hours." Well ive waited 24 hours 3 or 4 times now, and just hope its coming soon... Would hate to only have these shrooms for all this work when i feel like my friend has done everythign right... Thoughts?

Hey roadkill thanks for the response...
All of the walls are wet with droplets, as well as the roof. From reading this seemed like enough, however if you think sitll too dry he could water it some more. Any other ideas?
those little white goosebumps will be my pins right?

just looked a little dry from the pictures....is all.
does the surface of the log look really moist?
do you have a hydrometer to monitor the humidity in there?
I'd keep the humidity up high...and give it alot of air exchange.
yes...it looks like you are gonna have alot of pins and soon.
the goose bumps(Primordia)...those will be all your new pins.
that thing is gonna explode with shrooms!~

considering the side of that thing its gonna flush either very big or very often...
u may still be harvesting this thing in april lol...
u might sprinkle some wet verm over it as per dunk&roll tek to help the pinset...
all the experianced cake makers seem to do that...
that fuzz is a good thing btw.. its that fuzz that ties into knots wich in turn become pins... i had lots of that on my cakes before the pinned and very little of it growing on the stems of mature shrooms
wich sometimnes happens with high humidity...
the pins u got now are awfully cute
but i think (and i base this on totaly nothing) u might have to wait trough several flushes before te shrooming power of your log becomes apparent...
whatever happens its a nice experiment.
