Getting the most out of h2o2

Ok, we all know how good it is to use h2o2 to to kill all those nasty contaminations. It is great to use on the surface and to spray in the air when mixed 1:10 with water. Most of us have it mixed in our water for spaying casings and we toss it in our humidifiers. My question is, since it breaks down when exposed to light, how fast does that breakdown occur? Am I wasting time and money putting it in my cool mist and my ultrasonic? Can it harm the ultrasonic in any way? Or is the breakdown time so slow that it is ok to mix it in even though the tank for the humidifiers lets light in?
Not sure why I haven't thought of this before. I have a all black spray bottle for when I am making my casings, then I just go and pour some from a dark brown bottle into a clear tank in my humidifier before adding water, hoping that it is helping, but never really knowing.

Its doing some good. It'll take a few hours to a few days to fully break down, depending. Iodine works better the say, doesnt break down and such in humidifiers. Ask Hyphae about it. I keep meaning to switch but I'm waiting to replace my humidifiers (starting to shit the bed).
It doesnt do much spraying in the air by the way, or even on surfaces. Especially diluted to .3% concentration.

Well, as far as I know, H2O2 breaks down really fast in the water.
It then forms oxygen molecules that will react with most things real quick. Not sure if those were dipoles or what :p O=O or something like that.
These oxygen molecules will then float about for some hours to some days I believe, if its plain water they will actually leave sooner than from a substrate etc, but OTOH in substrate they will react with the substrate.
But as far as I know the H2O2 doesnt as much directly destroy molds etc as much as it acts as a signal for the pathogens to go into dormancy/not to grow more/etc
Not a shroom expert, just a novice, though

I did find this data:
Data on elimination (persistence and degradability): Hydrolysis; medium: water. Half-life (t 1/2) hours to days. Hydrolysis; medium: soil. Half-life (t 1/2) minutes to hours. Medium: air. Photochemical degradation to 50% within approx. 20 hours.
Behaviour in water treatment plants: Hydrogen peroxide quickly decomposes to oxygen and water. Bacterial toxicity: Pseudomonas putida, EC 10 (16 h) = 11mg/l DEV, DIN 38412, T.8. Further directions: Toxic to molluscs: moderate. Molluscs, LC 50 (96 h) = 17.5 mg/l (Physa spec) Molluscs, LC 30 (56 d) = 5 mg/l (Dreissena polymorpha) Toxic to water plants: moderate. Water plants, EC 80 (7 days) = 34 mg/l (Ceratophyllum demersum)
It is also found to be corrosive to rabbits!! :o
