The black light responsive bubbles look really nice. I found this substance called 'Gooze'. You can find it in the toy section, of course. It's the best trip toy I have ever seen. It is clear and it melts and stretches over you hands and theres all these air bubbles.

The video games "Nitrous Oxide," "Jumping Flash 2," "Wipeout XL," for the Playstation, one of those kaleidoscopes with the clear marble on the end, fly-eye canisters, neon Play-Doh, neon paints and paper, glowsticks (yeah, I love to dance while tripping), any of my computer programs (e.g. Syn2X, Fractint, Winamp's Milkdrop plugin, Organic Art's Demo, Pinwheel), Rubik's Cube, strobe light, lava lamp, CDs, didgeridoo, guitar, koosh, metallic bows, laser pointers (laser dancing on the ceiling [give one to a friend, one to yourself, eventually you'll sync on the ceiling, then try to guess which friend has the pointer ;)], or aiming at the metallic bows causes laser splashes all OVER), drums, candles, mirror, the shower/tub, smoke.

One thing I haven't heard mentioned here is a Vocoder. Essentially it processes your voice with that of any instrument, creating talking guitars or synthisized robotix type voices done with a microphone. Very cool if you happen to own one though their not easy to find anymore..

i think it totally differs from person--I enjoyed sitting in a hot tub on 2 hits of acid, but some people may not.  Try just wading in water, please don't swim.  We don't want any shroom casualties

greatest trip toy ever == Water Worm.

You've seen these things before. It probably popped and got all over your carpet. I had this one that was pink with a dense silver liquid inside that swirled around. I had my fingers in it like a finger trap and would tap it to make the silvery stuff swirl around.

I saw epic stories happening in there. Ghosts, skeletons, demons. Scary shit to most people, common to my trip. Is that bad?

If anyone wants to explore the ocean while shrooming, I suggest you play ecco the dolphin on dreamcast. Very colorful and bright and tropical and you're a dolphin which is fun. and there's all these psychedelic cave things that you can explore. It's virtual reality and then some.

Hmm - swimming whilst tripping - sounds like the start of one of those tragic stories in the local paper!

I definately go with the vocoder! I've got a Novation Nova module and which has a vocoder on it and you can add FX like delay, reverb, phasing, filters etc. Fucking weird.

I like anything fractal. they always seem to breath and pulse. Having said that I tend to find that truppy stuff looks OK but the carpet, walls and curtains turn into the weirdest shit imaginable.

My worst/best idea for a trip toy was a hideoous latex-rubber horror mask. I jumped into the room with a mock "yearrghh". My friends face lost all it's blood and I swear his hair stood on end! I quickly took it before he freaked off and we pissed ourselves laughing about it for hours (or was it seconds...).

as long as you're still able to tie your shoes, then swimming while trippin' is really fun. but... of course it's a personal thing. I've been swimming since I was two years old and grew up on a lake -- so it's a natural thing for me to do. If you're not comfortable in the water, I doubt it would be for you :P

peace out!

I could definately see how you could forget to come up for air  wouldn't be fun, anyways... I've only swam in swimming pools while trippin', with a buncha people around, so if something did happen it would've been cool, but... while swimming it's just second nature to me to make sure to breath, plus... I can swim better than 150 meters underwater without a breath :P It's really fun for me to do cause I'm skilled at it. Just like people who like to play guitar usually like to play when they're trippin' and have an excellent time, I wouldn't. I suck at guitar and it would make me feel incompetant. so do whatcha like

peace out!

strobe lights are also good for a while, then they can start getting to your brain. I stared right into the light for about 5 minutes (which seemed like 3 seconds to me) once and couldn't see worth a shit for the next little while.

I wouldn't advise tring this, But the first time i took LSD i had to drive home while i was still trippin! It was awsome, i didn't have to shift or turn the wheel because my car did whatever i thought (at least it seemed that way). It was alot of fun but i'm lucky i didn't got to jail for about-forever.

My turn to contribute.......
I have a pet snake and It's always pretty wicked to watch her slither around.....I'm suprised no one has mentioned a ceiling fan yet....especially with those glow in the dark stars on it.....or how about marble tile.......Or eat a bowl of cinnamin toast crunch and leave the milk with all the cinnamin at the bottom and swirl the bowl around....What about wood grain type surfaces.....one of my favorites is your hand....I find my hand morphing into all sorts of odd things if you concentrate on it.
Ok I'm done

A cheap and easy aid to some reasonably coherant closed eyes visuals is to fire the flash from a camera in your eyes and then shut them tight and focus on the after image.
The image seems to last forever if you conventrate. It goes from being a TV showing 'snow' (black and white fuzz) to having moving pictures on it. From there usually goes into being a window looking onto a great landscape which all becomes three dimensional, and eventually you drift through the window into the world. Quite a good way of 'coming up' on the trip as it allows you to clear your mind and get almost meditated, all while you're getting higher and higher and making a smooth transition into your own world. Of course, it may differ with you, with the images always different everytime. The general '2d' to '3d on 2d plane' to 'true 3d' seems to run consistently though.

Well recommended.

I have one of those balls they sell at the discovery channel store that expands and retracts....its one of the big ones too, so if you put your head inside of it and then close it, it's the ultimate tripper. it's one of my favorite toys and it was very positive for everyone i was tripping with!

Some of my favorite trip toys- the minds eye- the movie, a spinning metal disc that has a black and white sprial and after you spin it and stare at it everything starts to bubble (even if you arent trippin), i bought a chillin pocket kaliedoscope, smoking bowls and looks at the smoke, carbonated beverages, anything outdoors....

peace,
shroomie

FRECKLES!!!!!! N e one with freckles, like myself, has their toy right on their arm. My freckles dance and move and pop out at me whilst trippin. One time i made them all disappear them had to beg for them to come back (they were scared) I also thought they were ants one time and i scratched at them for like an hour though it seemed like 2 min at most. n e ways i like looking at myself and other people.

a fun trip exercise is to spread your legs out and cross them leg over leg not knee over knee with both legs' skin touching eachother as much as possible and .. i forgot.. oh yeah eventually it feels like you have one big heaping messy bag of a leg. just one leg it feels like you have. then your meat might start drippig off and what not. it feels like it and it looks like you have just one leg. it is fun and what not..

:frown: .. what was i saying..? Time for a cigarette.

I like watching cream from a creamer being poured very slowly into a cup of coffee...all the white swirls around in the black...I resist stirring after that for a long time and just watch it slowly spread out...It's really captivating. I find i can't tear my attention away from it. also, playing cards are a great way to while away what seems like hours, but is usually a couple minutes. Not actually playing cards, or even looking at the cards...you take a deck in one hand, slap the other hand on top of the deck, pull a card off with just your fingers (not your thumb) and slap it down on the table...your friends will think you are mental (at least mine did) but it was also very captivating for me.

I have an extremely wide variety of psychedelic shirts. One of them is like the back of a cd, another is shimmery and black and white. One time I went to school shroomin and spent about 60% of the time looking at my shirt.

This post hasn't been aswered in a while so im about to send it back to the top....its just to good of a thread to forget about.
The absolutely best trip toy in the hold world is Nitrous Oxide....this isn't for everyone but its the best, its relatively safe, and its LEGAL. Research it before you do it on a site like Erowid.com. It will blow your mind when trippin...its like being blasted through space..the only thing is that it depletes the B vitamins in your body so take supplements.
My other favorite trip toy is one thats already been said but I cant help mentioning it again. Mirrors!!!
stand in front of one and get someone to switch the light switch on and off at varying speeds while standing still or moving around. If you stand stll then turn off the light you will still be able to see yourself standing facing you in the mirror for a brief while even though the lights off.
Swimming is controversial but I did it once in the ocean in Panama City. It blew my fucking mind...also if ur ever at the beach trippin go to one of those fishing piers and watch somebody catch a fish that also blew my mind.
My all time favorite toy is a aquarium especially saltwater....you wont ever quit looking at it...trust me.
Walmart is also the best place to go...but dont steal trust me on this one too they got undercover people..anyway they have basically every thing ever made in the world (also they have a pet section with aquariums if u dont own one)...also since most of them are open 24 hours you can go whenever you want...My most fond moments while trippin have been in Walmarts with a bunch of friends just trying to figure out what the hell a certain toy was supposed to do.
basically anything on the planet is fun trippin...just some r better than others

"will you have any stories to tell your grandchildren"----some car ad---probally some famous adventurous person but i dunno............ its the best motto
