The black light responsive bubbles look really nice. I found this substance called 'Gooze'. You can find it in the toy section, of course. It's the best trip toy I have ever seen. It is clear and it melts and stretches over you hands and theres all these air bubbles.

The video games "Nitrous Oxide," "Jumping Flash 2," "Wipeout XL," for the Playstation, one of those kaleidoscopes with the clear marble on the end, fly-eye canisters, neon Play-Doh, neon paints and paper, glowsticks (yeah, I love to dance while tripping), any of my computer programs (e.g. Syn2X, Fractint, Winamp's Milkdrop plugin, Organic Art's Demo, Pinwheel), Rubik's Cube, strobe light, lava lamp, CDs, didgeridoo, guitar, koosh, metallic bows, laser pointers (laser dancing on the ceiling [give one to a friend, one to yourself, eventually you'll sync on the ceiling, then try to guess which friend has the pointer ;)], or aiming at the metallic bows causes laser splashes all OVER), drums, candles, mirror, the shower/tub, smoke.

One thing I haven't heard mentioned here is a Vocoder. Essentially it processes your voice with that of any instrument, creating talking guitars or synthisized robotix type voices done with a microphone. Very cool if you happen to own one though their not easy to find anymore..

i think it totally differs from person--I enjoyed sitting in a hot tub on 2 hits of acid, but some people may not. Try just wading in water, please don't swim. We don't want any shroom casualties

greatest trip toy ever == Water Worm.
You've seen these things before. It probably popped and got all over your carpet. I had this one that was pink with a dense silver liquid inside that swirled around. I had my fingers in it like a finger trap and would tap it to make the silvery stuff swirl around.
I saw epic stories happening in there. Ghosts, skeletons, demons. Scary shit to most people, common to my trip. Is that bad?

If anyone wants to explore the ocean while shrooming, I suggest you play ecco the dolphin on dreamcast. Very colorful and bright and tropical and you're a dolphin which is fun. and there's all these psychedelic cave things that you can explore. It's virtual reality and then some.

Hmm - swimming whilst tripping - sounds like the start of one of those tragic stories in the local paper!
I definately go with the vocoder! I've got a Novation Nova module and which has a vocoder on it and you can add FX like delay, reverb, phasing, filters etc. Fucking weird.
I like anything fractal. they always seem to breath and pulse. Having said that I tend to find that truppy stuff looks OK but the carpet, walls and curtains turn into the weirdest shit imaginable.
My worst/best idea for a trip toy was a hideoous latex-rubber horror mask. I jumped into the room with a mock "yearrghh". My friends face lost all it's blood and I swear his hair stood on end! I quickly took it before he freaked off and we pissed ourselves laughing about it for hours (or was it seconds...).

as long as you're still able to tie your shoes, then swimming while trippin' is really fun. but... of course it's a personal thing. I've been swimming since I was two years old and grew up on a lake -- so it's a natural thing for me to do. If you're not comfortable in the water, I doubt it would be for you :P
peace out!
