2 Quick Rye Grain Question

1. I was wondering if you can use rye grains as a substrate for casing.
2. can you pasteurize rye??? :confused:

OTHERWISE.....IMHO.... you are wasting your time with rye.

You could try fractional sterilization. But, that is big "IF" it got sterilized - OR NOT.

there is really no reason not to get a PC. Go down to wal mart and pick up the mirro 8qt. It will run you about $40 and is a great investment.
