Any input

Someone else just posted basically the same question but I couldn't draw a good conclusion off the answer.  What if a imaginary friend had a good pinset going like 40 or so and most grew to be 1 in then stopped and ten grew and sporlated. 1. Should the imaginary friend pick the big ones and small ones 2. should the imaginary friend pick bigs let smalls grow, 3. Were his small ones aborts?, they weren't looking unhealthy.
Also when a flush is done should the imaginary man clean pins that are like 5mm off of casing?

he appreciates any input.

I have been picking the mature and leaving the younger ones to mature, but I haven't got to even pinsetting yet (in which case they will all get harvested at the same time.
I have been doing two harvests, then dunk when all the pins are off and do it agin
