The Godlyness of Nature.
    #3740765 - 02/06/05 01:24 PM (19 years, 13 days ago)

Hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, tidal waves and more. This entity if it be one or if it be many, has a few rules of it's own. No man in it's path shall see the light. We all must learn to cope with it's wrath for it is an ever growing creature. We see ice caps on Mars, and massive storms on Saturn. These 'creatures' you could say act as if the presence of man and his God were simple mortal seeds that coexist in it's reality.

The path of a tidal wave not only destroys but also creates. With the tidal wave we see hundreds of people die. At the same time we see hundreds of people live. We see young college student that fly to sri lanka to help the families and the people rebuild. We see the Navy ship thousands of supplies immediately.

We fight for the hungry not to starve, and the children to be educated. Something so powerful like a tidal wave has also created a bond between nations of people. So even though that many have died in it's path, we have many that survive.

Peace,
Droz

I was thinking the other day about how when nature kills on a massive scale, she does so in an environmentally friendly way - leaving just biodegradeable human remains. the destruction is massive, poetic, beautiful almost - there was one report of complete silence after the wave receded, as if nothing had happened... on a perfecrly clear and beautiful day.

on the other hand, when we humans kill, we make quite a mess, spewing lead, depleted uranium, radiation and dirty exhaust and thick black smoke all over the place.

I don't know where I'm going with this... maybe we should let nature thin our numbers..
or maybe we should look to nature for inspiration in creating environmentally friendly weapons? death by natural disaster is probably one of the most honourable ways to die. I can't exactly say why. I also think getting eaten by an animal is an honourable (but horrible) death. to think of being consumed by nature itself while in a state of total panic and fear puts me in touch with my prehistoric ancestors, many of whom must have suffered such a fate.
getting eaten alive is not fun.

Carry a knife/sword and let no beasts run your path.

wouldn't it be weird if the Great Red Spot, ostensibly a huge storm on Jupiter that's bigger than Earth, suddenly blew itself out?

would that be meaningful?

Zekebomb, the great red spot is on Saturn. If it blew itself out then maybe life could become inhabitable on that planet, but that is only a chance that the rest of the storms blow themselves out occasionally as well.

the beast is nature itself and it will consume you, eventually.

Very true, infidelGOD - We return to nature, makes you wonder if we came from nature. We can look at the love bug and see how it originiated from a small molecule that lay on top leaf debrey and when the time is right grow to be full sized and mate during the spring only to relay their eggs back in the leaf. I'm pretty sure that they die off during winter or perhaps go into hibernation.

Same as for humans, our origins are only slightly known that we too evolved from single cell molecules.

Peace,
Droz
