More On Neglect Tek

I have decided to go through with the neglect tek, and was just wondering if I do add the top layer of vermiculite, or leave it as empty space? Also, after each flush, do you put the vermiculite back on the cake, after it is in the jar?

Add the top layer of verm. Most people leave the verm there until the first flush and then leave it as empty space for the other flushes. I take the verm out for good when the first pins show, because from my experience having that extra space leads to a much larger first flush. Its up to you.
