Need a little help from my friends

Ive only been doing this for eleven months now, and this is my first summer, and I cannot stop a contamination problem. My grow room is in a basement, but ever since summer began I cannot fight off trichoderma or the penicillin mold. Ive completly bleached the entire room, sterilized all of my tanks repeatedly, Ive been using an air purifier, Ive tried both my casing and that of which a friend made for me(to see if mine was the problem) and I still continue to get this damn mold. Ive already lost my hawaiin, indian, and mezatapec strains, so I dont know if I should even bother anymore. Should I not use casing for now, and just grow straight from the cake, or will this get contaminated as well? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

What tek are you using and tell me how and at what time (before during after etc...) are yu runing
your hepa.

Ive been running it twenty four seven. My substrate teks are different every time. Sometimes manure is used, rye seed, brown rice, etc. My casing tek is 50/50 peat and vermiculite with some oyster shell.

And you're sterilizing everything? Not just your surroundings, but the casing container, the syringe, etc... You're obviously not cleaning something good..

Ive been spraying myself down with lysol thats how anal Ive become with my sterilization. I went from producing full flushes of cyans in which some reached two inches in caps to where im lucky to get two shrooms per tray. The state I live in gets too damn hot in July and August.

One simple little modification is to elevate your fruiting chambers a bit more. The great majority of Penicillium spores will be in the lower foot or so of airspace. [those that aren't on your skin, anyway] In fact, I always do agar work standing on a chair with the glovebox on a top shelf. No, not really, but it's not a bad idea. . .

I used to live in a very hot, dry area and found a coolmist setup really helped things out as well. Took a lot of trial and error, though.
