cakes??

Well, I don't have a pressure cooker yet so I'm going to up the boiling time to 1 1/2 hrs. My question is when my cakes are birthed is it a good idea to let them sit before casing because some of my cakes that are contaminated when cased spread too quickly.

let them sit before casing? No, that won't help. The best way to rid yourself of contams when casing is to:

- Let the cake colonize completely before birthing.
- Be very clean, and sterilize everything.
- Don't make the verm. or whatever you use to case too moist...

No, don't let them sit. That's just an invitation to ruin your cakes. Once you birth them, you can pat off any excess moisture with a clean napkin or paper towel and immediately put them into your grow chamber. And if you have any contaminated cakes, throw them out.

Okay, thanks for the help! I do believe the contams are from my cakes.
