Traditional & Old Fashioned Principles
    #3739558 - 02/06/05 06:01 AM (11 years, 8 months ago)

Think Positive
Avoid negative thought & dwell on the good of all situations.

Be Very Active
Maximize time during routine activity.

Good Posture
This is a therapy in itself - Top of head up & bottom in.

Breathe Deeply
It is the staff of life - In & out fully & slowly.

Sometimes simple, holistic, traditional and 'olde-fashioned' ways of health, happiness and Being are over-looked, neglected and even scoffed at by younger members of our later generations; "But it's just boring!".
Indeed, none of such references to living healthily and peacefully are anything novel, exciting or interesting in the sense that is anything new. But mere speculation about exciting or interesting ideas that have little to no impact on leading a genuinely stable, harmonious and meaningful life is hardly practical and conducive to the ebb of neurotic living.

Perhaps you know of some simple, holistic and traditional ways of living healthily and happily...

Coffee should be black as hell, strong as death, and sweet as love.

Laughing with a good friend is always good for you. It relaxes your mind and burns calories. Sex will also help you to be healthier. It's an excellent aerobic work-out, and when you have sex, it releases chemicals that actually prevent cancer.

perfect health isn't easy if you live in an industrial wasteland and can't afford to leave it. Most people live in Industrial wastelands these days, as much of the earth is becoming just that.

Proper environment and proper nutrition are inaccesible to the majority of the worlds population thanks to poverty and industrialism, therefore making proper mind exceedingly difficult and proper movement gets lost in the shit heap too.

I'm not trying to be pessimistic here, at all, I'm just trying to point out that it isn't *easy* for most people to be healthy anymore.

I'm personally engaging in a really difficult struggle for my own health, and factors that i'm unable to cut out of my life just yet are some of the factors that contribute to keeping it bad.

Even if all of those things were easily accesible "perfect health" wouldn't necessarily be "easy" either. Also, what is perfect health? Different cultures have different ideals for what health is.
