What if we forget to let go?
In letting go of our beliefs, we forget the belief in letting go.
Forgetting to let go, do we hold on?
What if we forget?
PS: I'm trippin.

Oh dear, I really did post that. Felt like years ago. The thought circles of an LSA trip. Note to self: Do not trip near a computer.
It was a serious question though. Spent what felt like hours trying to work it out but never could. Still can't. What if we forget to let go?

Which thing and/or which particular one of many?
if we forget to let go, we left behind the flow, unintentionally. re-membering, as a mebmber of flow, by letting go, recreating, what we left behind. as, if we forget to let go, getting for whatever happens.

I made an effort to type down my thoughts during the trip. Here they are unedited. Sorry for the long paragraph.
What if we lost the key, the foundation to which our beliefs which hold us firm against the tide, and so the tide rips through without an acceptance which is the key to letting go. What if we forget? Our way of holding on, of preparing to let go will be lost where so an acctetping of this fate becomes unacceptable. Where letting go was once desirable, but upon forgetng it is desirable one trieds to hold on. Forgetting we should let go, we hold on. What if we forget to let go. Our beliefs, our conceps, our ideas, tell us what to do, how to react, and tell us to let go. But if we forget to let go, our way of coping e\with the tide is lost and so we try to hold on. We need to let go of our memories and beliefs, but in forgetting we need to let go, we hang on. We forget to let go. And so we immediately try and hold onto to what we have left, slowly rebuilding to the crest of the waves to begin to let go again until once again we reach the trough where one forgets we need to let go, and once more, tries to hold on, rebuilding again, a new birth rising to climax to start dying again. Birtghg lives to die until they forget they are alive, where they now die to live again. Today was the first time the ninja lost her way through the open forest licking cherry barriers and finding hops and popsticles to build her new found island thunder house with. The tornadoes spina and shrink like graphite paper towels with emblems open for elves and pixiewinks to see. Tomorrow the secrets of the universe will be revelead in a paper cup with lollies in it.

But breathing doesn't govern our thoughts and actions like our beliefs and concepts about the world do.

In our efforts to seek salvation/enlightenment we aim to stop clinging to things, including ideas and feelings. It is possible to cling to salvation, to be desperately lost without our beleifs. We must realize that God, the Truth, and Enlightenment are now, and always have been, present at every moment. There is no point in clinging because it is impossible! It would be like trying to cling to a rock while buried in the earth! By clinging to God you will never find it.
It's been said before, but I'll say it again... BE HERE NOW!

Letting go doesn't imply forgetting. Letting go is about understanding something to exist and not exist, or rather, exist symbolically. It's about that something is true relative to its context, but that ultimately reality is greater than this context and the truth is no longer absolute. So letting go means that you understand something's relative nature and, as such, it no longer defines your life, it no longer constitutes an absolute of your reality.

Sounds like we've been reading Alan Watts.
Do you think it's possible to completely let go of everything?
I see complete attachment/clinging as the same thing as being completely detached. Attached to everything = attached to nothing. I think life is about clinging, trying to hold onto one's self or form, just as a rock holds onto its form refusing to crumble. The danger comes when one becomes so attached to ones self, of concepts or beliefs, that they detach themselves from everything else and not allow themselves to change. I think there needs to be a balance between clinging and letting go.
BE HERE NOW is easy when now isn't painful. It's not some secret move one pulls to avoid pain.

So in letting go, you would also understand the relative nature of the concept of letting go, and so realise that letting go should not be an absolute of your reality.

Yeah I worry about forgetting all the time, I carry around a note-book so I wont forget but at the same time I realize that the ability to forget is a great privaledge; we can forget previous lives and everything is new and exciting (sometimes too much so!)

Who's Allen Watts? The name sounds familiar...
"letting go" doesn't mean detachment from everything. It's like walking across the ground. You are in touch with the ground, but you are still walking.
Now for some 311 lyrics!: "Buddy buddy buddy! I know why you wander, It's the sweetness of the ground, the sweetness of the flowers. You make your way, on a cloudy day. You got to move because the world is too sweet! Yeah!"
The point isn't to detatch/disassociate yourself from the pain of life. The point is to embrace everything and then move on, because the whole world is sweet and there is a lot of it out there.
