drying in general reduces potency, but not enough to worry about it I dont think- just stick with the dehydrator or use a desiccant<<sp?

ive always had great luck with just drying them out on paper towels on top of the refridgerator. the fan from the fridge circulates the air and it is a little bit warmer air. i usually leave them up there for 2 days and then immediately throw them into ziplock bags that i then place in a glass jar and store in the freezer. i havent noticed any decrease in potency this way. however i cant say how well this works for very large mushrooms. the times ive found really large cubes i blended them up and shared them with friends the day they were found.

i will say the best fields are in rosenberg/needville area just look for un-touched cow fields with trees and tall grass. the more unkept the better, this is a sign of a lazy ranch hand so the cow's grain will not have fungi killer in it. pick the gold caps (p.cubes) just make sure to cut them not pull and respect our fields!!! peace out

Ranchers do not put any fungi killer ibn any cows feed anywhere in the USA or elsewhere.

Please do not come here and spread untrue urban legends.

Hey TARDO, dont fuck around with MJ, he is a SHROOM DEMI-GOD, and he will DESTROY YOU.

It is nothing but an urban legend and some noobie, who doesn't know jack, should back down. This is not a child's forum, but a gathering of minds about mushrooms, and mushroom FACTS.

A friend of a friends, cousins, uncles, brother-in-law said type of bullshit does not fly well here.

Again, no one puts any kinda fungicides in cow feed. Thye cows also eat the mushrooms in a field when they feed on grass. I have seen Copelandias dangling form the mouths of cattle in hawaii and in Soutrheast Asia and In Florida. That is what cows do. Farmers put no chemicals in their feed which would hurt their cattle.
If such fungicides were in the feed then the cows eating the mushrooms would also be poisoned.

Yes I have worked on a farm. Once in North Sydney Forkes, Nova Scotia for a year and in Anaimal husbandry for four years at the University of Hawaii's Livestock and Experimental Farm on the north Shore of Oahu. I am also familar with dozens of four-legged ruminants including Water bufallo, 7 families of them and Gaur, as well as cattle.
Farmers do not feed fungicides to cattle period! and especially not to cattle to kill fungi.
mj

And I do know what I am talking about.

Can we get a ban on this guy?

NO ONE TALKS TO MY UNCLE MJ LIKE THAT

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ONNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

And yes, i too live in Texas, have worked on farms in Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas, and they do not now nor ever put fungicides into cattle feed.

You dont have to respect me, but anyone with 5 K+ posts, and ESPICALLY Dr. John Allen, should be very much respected in here.

You have no idea who you are talking to, and should just shut up.
