newbie question

I'm a first time grower. I ordered mexi-cub spores and i'm using the pf tek. I don't have a lot of money to spend on a terrarium. could i put the cakes in a tubberware container with perlite on the bottom? would that work? Please give me any suggestions. thanks

Hi rmark

You really don't need to spend much money on a terrarium. A tupperware container is fine. Cheaper still is one of those storage boxes from a cheap ?/$ or DIY store.

It just needs to let some light in so get either a transluscent one or (better still if you want your shrooms to grow uniformly upwards) get a opaque box and grab a transluscent lid for it. You are talking the same price as a couple of Big Macs.

Perlits works AOK.
