Rotten Mushrooms?

A friend I know bought some mushrooms and decided to freeze them to preserve them. I few weeks later, I pulled them out and thawed them and they were not cracker dry. They seemed dry, but were still pliable. I told him i thought they might not have been dried enough. They look like PF cubesis to me. He let them air out and came back to find that some stems were turning a yellowish color. Are these still safe to eat? Will they make you sick? They still have not seemed to change much as far as their pliability goes. Thanks

Some cubensis stems can be slightly yellow, and this is normal. Only if there is an unusual smell should you be more suspicious
