search: fill a jar or plastic bag w/ water, put cake in, refridgerate for 18-24 hours, take out, roll in moist verm (or case) set on jarlid or the like w/ moist verm in it and induce fruiting

too late now...birth the cake into a fruiting chamber of some sort. Let it fruit and for the 2nd flush dunk & roll it.

it shouldn't be too late should it? If its pinning in the jar, the small fruits can just be cleaned off and the cake treated as normal. Dunking could only be beneficial to restore any lost moisture in the cake, plus you know your already in fruiting mode

You'll lose all that time. The cake wont know the flush is over. I think it would be more benificial to pull it out and let it grow as is...it'll be a few more days..then harvest and dunk...you'd probably get the second flush about the same time either way you did it but if you let the pins you got now grow, you'll have a little weight while you wait. Never done this with cakes, but similar experiences with casings make me give this advice...

sounds like sound advice   i just hate cakes cause i can never get large fruits w/ them, so i try to get all the forces behind growth max'd out before putting in the fruiting chamber... from my exp. i would rather save those nutes being eaten by the current pins, totally rehydrate the cake and then let it go to town, but thats just me... may be why my flushes suck
