Poppies are such pretty flowers, but so large! My neighbor (little old lady) used to have a bunch of poppies (normal non-opiate vairety) in her front yard, and they were taller than me when I was a kid, grew up to her windows! To really grow these beauties right you'd need a farm or an acerage or something. They sound so tastey, I'd like to try a little someday!

I have gone a little to far down the rabbit hole before myself, the key with the poppy is not to let those days add up.
Example, if you have been using opiates for more then 5 days striaght, you should stop, and wait a while before using again(even 2 days in a row is bad)
I remember when I was younger and would say, I will NEVER use 2 days in a row, thats how you cause problems, and then I used for more then 2 days and "got away with it" (I didnt feel bad days after, in fact I felt great...better then normal) so I learned that I could use for a week straight(poppy tea) and not have any REAL problems, and then I realized I was playing with fire......so what did I do?
I avoided all things poppy for weeks, and weeks, and just the other day(s) I used for 3 days.
Thus, since then , no pods, and I WONT be using pods anytime soon.
Its fun,historical,amazing... its a the best damn chemistry lesson you will ever have....., but be carefull especially the younger people out there, I told myself I wont EVER use poppies more then one day, because "thats what causes problems", well its easy to say that, when all you know about the poppy is what you read on the internet, once you have danced with her, its totally different.

Not difficult, gaining significant yields of raw opium is very time-consuming, however.

Very easy, heres one of my favorite shots from last year.
But as was said, getting a decent ammount of opium is hard. I had about 10 plants(give or take 1) and I milked each of them as much as I could, used a pin* to draw the milk etc etc(I did everything "right") and got enough to eat with grapefruit juice/hold under my tongue.....and enough for some VERY crappy tokes...I would have cooked it, like they did in the old days to make proper smoking opium, but there was so little.
*= Use a pin, NOT A BLADE, the pin is your best friend when it comes to milking, I learned that the hard way(during my first grow) Use a pin, trust me on this one
