 Shroom Newbie - 2 Questions

Hey everyone. I've been reading up one shrooms for a very long time now, and I think I've decided to grow some and try them. I have done acid before (3 times - 3 to 7 hits blotter once, liquid twice) and was wondering 1) how are shrooms different from acid. I have heard very vague things such as "it's more mellow" and stuff like that. And 2) has anyone looked at the Soul Food Machine from Mushroom Magic ( http://www.mushroommagic.com/sfm.htm )? If so do you think it warrants a purchase? I know that everyone thinks that mushroom kits are bullsh*t, but I seriously have to be careful and can't do anything too obvious (I still live with my parents, and someone is here most of the time.) I have a few great hiding places for something like this, but still not that many. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

from my experience acid and shrooms are entirely different.
--Acid is amazingly stronger (if you take enough shrooms you can trip as much as any acid, but for how small and cheap acid is it is very very strong)
--My mind is more fucked on acid
--On shrooms i tend to have a fairly clear head
--Shrooms were happier and almost like E
--Shrooms I had no paranoia but on acid I had a pretty bad paranoia.
--Acid is nice and long 
--Shrooms have an easier comedown, and a much faster one
--Easier for me to sleep after shrooms; next to impossible on acid
--Shroom visuals were more "earthy" (colorwise and what I saw) I guess I could say that overall colors were brighter but colors I saw in visuals were fairly flat. On acid, since you see more primary colors everything was nice and bright. More futuristic, like i saw "futuristic vines" and shit almost impossible to explain.
--I got extremely extroverted on shrooms and entirely introverted on acid.
Of course, all of this is different depending on the person and on the dosage. Both drugs are fairly subjective

It entirely depends on the dosage...You reach an 'acid threashold' on LSD, but it seems that shrooms can almost seem exponential with dosage..Other than with DMT, shrooms have provided me with my only Out of Body Experience, fueled on by 12 dry grams.
Strong acid is definitely more provacative then an average dose of shrooms as far as intensity, but of course that feeling seems so damn artificial that at about the 8 hour point you've probably said to yourself "enough already"...Trust me, if you are a psychonaut, eat 10 grams of home cultivated mushrooms and compare and contrast on this board the significant differences you encountered between the two...

i hear a lot of people saying It feels really artificial etc etc, but i dont feel that. it feels as natural as shrooming minus the earthier visuals, but since it is subjective, nobody is really wrong
We're all MADD here...
