Mutants?
    #3721658 - 02/02/05 11:17 PM (12 years, 19 days ago)

my first flush off of un-cased cakes of Tasmanian has an early yield of very odd shaped shrooms. They are fat, short, twins, odd shaped, etc.. Is this due to too high humidity and water dropletts on the tops of cakes? I fan 2ce a day. Thanks for the replies....

Either you've got cell degeneration...or you got lysol in the mix..: /

Degeneration is basically like...say a guy and a girl have sex, produced 2 kids, and then those 2 producded 2 and then those produced two...well eventually you come across mutants...kids missing fingers...or a toe...ect ect...you need new genes eventually...i discovered that eventually from doing to many g2gs...but i may be wrong somewhere...im sure someone can more further explain it than I and more correctly, but till then, hope this helps, gl

I like someone elses description better...like once a child is 8 months old in the womb, move him to a new womb for another 8 months then another womb for another 8 months and so on until its born. That would relate if you did grain to grain transfers.

It could also be some sort of chemical use like lysol or alcohol to much or something.

They should be safe to eat as long as the casing isnt contamed (that can give off mutants too if its contamed inside where you cant see it).

Anyone looking to start bulk tubs/mono tubs/shotgun hybrids? Good tubs to use..
How I do grain (old still good tips)
Turn your closet into a fruiting chamber

I have read it's about the quantity of light the shrooms get. If you make the sides of your box dark( so none of the light can enter)and only keep the top of your box transparent. This will keep your shrooms slim and tall en right to the top.
