The pins are pushing the cake up a bit and i've notitced that they're growing mainly on the bottom and in one spot...I'm guessing that's because there's more water there?...And also...i've noticed that when they push up against the glass they seem as though they're going to abhort, just seems that way, however they are slowly growing (64-68F here right now :/...)...I was just curious if anyone's had a bunch of abhorts with invirto....I know that there isn't much space for them to grow but it's jus a cool experiment...O and it's a poo cake ....Cr/Gt strain...(donno which yet)

I did a few experiments with invitro a few years back. Don't remember much abhorts though. From what I remember, over-humidification and lack of oxygen caused most of them to rot.

No idea. Only one way to find out   Might have a problem with contams, maybe not since they're fully colonized.

Gd tric...But i've cleaned as best as possiable and so far the mushies are looking like nice lil beauts..

I had the same, I did not like them pushing against that surface, so, I let it pin up as much as possible, then turned it loose, and they jumped up

If its fully colonized I would loosen the lid and leave it sitting very loosly on top..maybe even remove the lid and replace it with foil. It wont be exposed to any more contams then if you were to case it. I did some straw invitro before..just had alot of aborts...one was 4 inches long though (still aborted)
