Beautifull spot known for eagle watching and salmon spawning. I drive past this place on my way to work everyday, and now i got a camera. I didnt post all the big trees, but i think this is a good representative. These are all shrinked to about 1/4 their size...if anyone wants full ones or some of the others i can e-mail them. may just be me but i love having tree pics for my desktop. got lots more but these are my personal favs. cant wait to go out more now 
Feels great to walk in a forest by a river close to the ocean. makes me feel healthy and relaxed. enjoy

VERY nice! I wish things looked that green and pretty during this time of year over here. I especially like that first pic with the moss growth on the tree trunk.

definatly fairies very nice place.
i went for a quick drive with the neighbour a couple days ago lookign for rocks for her garden. took a few pictures.
this is what winter PNW is, little peice of heaven we live in eh psilly?

hey, you check out the salmon spawn in Goldsteam in the Fall? pretty fuckin crazy, they all swim up, mate, and then hang out to die, and contribute their meat to the ecosystem. it's creepy to see ranks upon ranks of fish rotting before they're dead, birds eating them before they're dead, creepy

ya i drive by there everyday for work i get that "lovely" smell when im driving  wasnt bad this year though.
we used to have many family events (mothers/fathers day, birthdays etc) at that park. its a realyl neat place considering how disturbed and busy it is.
one of the big cedars blew down eh  that last widn storm fucked that place up pretty good. i parked tehre and walked through after i waited 4 hours to get through cause tehy closed the damn malahat....boy what a mess....and the river trail was a river

Where is PNW...sorry for sounding ignorant but is that in Canada?...looks really nicem would want to visit one day. Paciific North West?... Vancouver Island I guess would have to be in Canada but I thought it would be cold up there no?

pacific northwest = PNW
it gets cold in the mountains, but the temps are pretty moderate down at sea level and next to the pacific ocean. (like vancouver, seattle, bellingham, vancouver island, etc...)
it's considered a temperate rainforest, it's so beautiful. you should definitely visit if you get a chance!

also victoria (capitol of bc) on vancouver is apperently the mildest (temp) in canada....so we got some pretty warm winters. and its becoming the norm to see temps of 40+c in the summer (pretty hot for a coastal place).
i however am in the mountains a bit more so weather is a tid bit cooler. those pics (former) were taken at sea level almost, the latter were about 400m up.
im sloooowly working on a site about the island here and outdoor activities (hiking, canoeing, caving, animals etc). but im slow so there aint much done.

great pics. i miss the PNW like nothing else. my vacation last fall did litle but increase my longing. it's the most beautiful piece of land on the contient.
