Is it cobweb or is it memorex?

Above my partially colonized casing, I was greeted with fluffy cotton-candy textured stuff rising above the mycelium.
It looks a bit like cobweb mold, which I thought I had recently vanquished with the demon H2O2.
However, instead of laying flat on the casing, this was sticking up in the air a good 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch.
Could it be mycelium? If I'm not sure, is there any harm in spraying it down with H2O2 in case it is cobweb?
I have been using so much H2O2 I worry about its effect on the possible shroom growth, but I don't want cobweb overtaking my casing either.
Thanks for any advice/input.

I am fighting this myself Everytime i sprayed it with H2o2 if got worse then i left it and foudn that it was indeed Mycelium. Woke up today after not spraying it for 2 dyas and i ahve 10 or so pinheads forming. this cottony stuff however is whiter than the cobwebmold it ahd eariler was. so i belive it is Mycelium.

white, but a little darker white than the pure stuff I've seen. I don't know if its quite dark enough to call grey or not.
Maybe I'll whip out the digital cam and shoot a pic.

After a few days, cobweb will become filled with TINY black specs. Also, cobweb grows long "fingers" that will grow rapidly across your casing...

ahh yes the famous cobweb mold... well i have had some experience w/ this in my time.. my grandmother especially used to hate this. i remember i would come home from school and she would be on a stool or a chair, broom in hand, whacking away at this nasty stuff. mostly in the corners or the ceiling.. if that didnt work she would use the shop vac and suck them right up .. that should do the trick. dont' mention it.

the top pic looks ok. the bottom one doesn't. doesn't quite look like the cobweb i've seen, but it doesn't look like mycelium either.
