The blind will see again?

What would happen if you gave someone who has never seen before and then gave them mushrooms? What would they see? Or if someone becomes blind shrooms may be the only chance for them to "see" for a short period. Ideas?

You know......I've also wondered what blind people would see during a trip, and what deaf people would hear. The blind people would definately get visual effects though, because most blindness is caused by problems with the eyes, and at least some, I think most of the visual effects during trips is created by the mind, not the optic nerve.
