You should listen to Natalie Merchant's song on him, titled (surprise surprise) "Henry Darger"... It's a good one. Some other songs by her: "King of May", "Motherland", "When They Ring the Golden Bells" (not hers though), "Ophelia"... Here I am making a list for you again, like with T.S. Eliot. I can't help it.

finaly saw this the other day.
really interesting movie

i figure he must have been autistic but nobody in the movie even mentioned the possibility
but they didnt really know him so fuck them

the thing with the dead girls picture was freaky
it seems like he had to have killed her
cause he even makes himself bad in his story after
but again it wasnt even questioned
of course im probably reading too deep into a loner obsessing over a dead girls picture
he had to be at least a suspect

but over all the story and art are pretty fucking incredible
and even dakota fanning (whom i would like to obsess over a picture of)'s naration worked

check it out if you get a chance

k

I saw the documentary on Channel 11 a couple weeks back and I thought it was very well done. I liked how they used different voices to narrated the documentary using a little girl's voice from his painting and an old mans'. I liked the use of motion graphics to make his static paintings come to life. I thought it was interesting that once Henry Darger was in his apartment, he would have conversations with himself using different voices.
