So Cal hunting?

I live in Southern California. I know this isn't the most ideal place for magic mushrooms to grow in the wild, but I want to know if anyone can give me any so-cal hunting tips.
There is a park by myself with lots of wet oak debris. The hillsides of this park are constantly filled with different types of mushrooms and other fungi.
Can anyone point me in the right direction or tell me if im wasting my time looking around here? Ill be going to college at Humboldt state starting the fall semester of this year, so if there's nothing around here worth harvesting i'll just keep buying dried 1/8ths of cubes till I can hunt for myself
Thanks for your advice

There could be Panaeolus subbalteatus on fertilized grass and horse manure areas.
If you find anything please PM me, because i live in south CA too.

Anybody ever found anything noteworthy in central Cal near Monterey? I know we have mushrooms here, and it's right after a heavy rain, so there's gotta be something. Soil's not the best it could be, but here's hoping. (glad I got in before the lockingness)

I am in So Cal myself. If you want shrooms here, you'll need to do what I do and grow 'em. Although I have successfully cultivated outdoors here, the conditions aren't right for them to naturally occur. At least I've never seen them here.
