He needs to do a lot more than that, beauracracy is expensive, and seeing that he hasn't exactly limited the size of the gov, we are not in the best situation. I don't think these cuts are going to have a big impact :frown: I think they will serve more to silence critics short term.

sounds like a damn good idea to me. I think we should privatize education, eliminate the current tax system, etc. Basically I think we should privatize everything we can.

Cut military spending.

I feel safe enough without the leviathan military.

Cut military spending?!? How can we maintain our military strength in 100+ countries around the globe to protect the freedoms that we keep losing at home? I mean, how do you expect our armed forces to protect our borders if we can't keep them all over the globe, away from home? I mean... ah... er... you may be right.

Another brilliant move by the Bush administration! Almost as brilliant as increasing spending and cutting taxes. I'm sure the social programs will get the ax soon as well. And if anyone complains, they can blame it on the Democrats.......

..or borrow it from his buddies who have profited from all the spending. Haliburton Inc. could make a big dent in the deficit...

Bush to call for near freeze in overall growth of government spending not connected to national defense.

It is much harder to get real kickbacks when funneling money into education. Besides what money is left after yet ANOTHER $80 billion for corporate sweetheart defense contracts?

I served this country as a soldier during war under bush 1. Its my right to not agree with bombing people. I freakin love America. But I hate people who step in and use her like a cheap whore for a few bucks or treat her like an oil sucking bitch and try to make it seem noble.

I figured that, only the real folks Bush/Saudis who make cash off it take it seriously. But I am glad you made me say it. It feels good to get it out.
