Halliburton stock doubles
    #3714035 - 02/01/05 05:29 PM (12 years, 4 months ago)

...since the start of the War. Some posters will act as if oil is the only way to pilfer public funds. Much of the $200,000,000,000 ripped off from the taxpayers in the name of WMD, er, I mean Iraqi freedom, has gone directly, I mean "indirectly" into the coffers of Bush& Co's buddies.

Wonder where your SS funds have gone? Tax break? You must be joking...

"We only need another $80 billion as some of the CEOs of my campaign contributors need bigger mansions to keep up with those of Ebbers (Bush buddy WCOM biggest con man in history) down in Florida. Please help out."

And back into the economy making people richer.

Swami, if you are supposed to be a skeptic why do you draw such stretched conclusions?

All oil exploration company's stocks have gone up. Check out Schlumberger's performance over the past several years. The reason these company's stocks are going up is because oil is at such a high price. When oil is expensive these companies are paid to go out and look for more oil. That is how they make their money.

Although I'll admit it is possible that the Iraq situation has hugely profited Halliburton. I'm not sure because I haven't seen statistics proving that.
