A friend wants me to join him

I smoke pot, I love it. I dont drink, don't smoke cigerettes, I loveeee pot.
Well, a friend used to jokingly give me shit about smoking pot all the time, and he wouldnt do it with me. But yesterday he asks me if I could get him some shrooms. I've never done shrooms, he never has either. I thought he was kidding, but we talked more about it today. He's serious, as am I.
I've read some stuff on this site, but in addition to all that jazz, what else should we do to ensure a good first expereince? Also, would you say its safe to wonder out of the house and enjoy the outdoors while tripping?
With pot, you have "Scwagg", which is practically shitty weed, and "Dank", which is really good weed. Those are the two extremes of pot, and what would the two extremes of shrooms be? Y'know what im saying? I dont know, anyways if you have any suggestions pass it this way.
Thanks!
Oh yeah, how long do you feel the effect for? And whats coming down like?

Just take a fairly low dose, to get acquainted with them. There are more potent strains of shrooms out there, but you are less likely to find them on the streets of the US, which is where I'm assuming you're from. You could go outside, but most people suggest avoiding the public, until you are very comfortable with tripping. Nature is a fantastic trip toy.
A trip lasts usually from 5-8 hours. Coming down is nothing like harder drugs such as cocaine, it's just a gradual decrease in psychedelic effects. There is usually an afterglow, which is a feeling of contentment and peace.
Enjoy and welcome to the Shroomery!

If you look in the Trip Tips forum, there are literally hundreds of ideas of fun things to do while tripping.

Well that's highly unlikely. Very highly unlikely. But it would still be wise to avoid the public.
It isn't like alcohol or other intoxicants because you will still maintain a grip on reality (at least on small-medium doses) and have an idea just what is going on around you. You will still realize that a car is a car is not something you should jump in front of.

Most likly not, sure, you hear about that happening every now and then, but then again, the media does not tell you about the 100000000 people having excellent trips. I would say your safe. You would probably have a much higher chance of getting drunk and jumping in front of a car.

Oh, if you like pot I would smoke a joint right after you dose. If you friend wants to, try to smoke him up well before you shroom so he knows how that feels. If not, then he might not want to smoke after he doses. Though that's up to him. If your a cig smoker those are excellent on mushrooms, but if your not I wouldn't.

well, I would say 2 grams is a nice, soild dose for a first time (I took more my first time, but it's better to start low). I woul dfast for a some hours prior to dosing, like if your dosing at night, don't eatc much for lunch and eat a tuna sandwhich 3 hours before. Fish is brainfood, your gonna need it .

Hi and welcome to the Shroomery!!
Here is a dosage calculator: http://www.shroomery.org/index/the/default/par/12195
You will likely buy Psilocybin Cubensis on the street. I would take 2g dried cubensis for your first time. 2g is a good dose to feel what tripping is, but not scare you off. Make sure not to eat 4hours before you ingest the mushrooms!
I would not smoke weed before or during the experience. Try mushrooms alone so you know what a pure mushrooms trip is! That's just my opinion, it's not dangerous to smoke weed.
Enjoy!

Alright, I dont measure stuff in grams, I measure stuff in terms of oz's.
So how much is that in about an ounce term? About a 16th of an oz?
Would an eigth be enough for both of us?

Start measuring in grams!
2 grams equals 0.070548 ounces.

Haha, no one measures in grams around here.
I dont go pick up a certain ammount of weed in grams, its always an eigth, a quarter, a half, or a full oz.
So, then since I dont measure in grams, how many mushrooms should we eat, roughly?

Nooooooo don't ask how many mushrooms you should eat! That way you could end up with eating 1g or 5g. And there is a great difference between 1g and 5g.
I posted the conversion: 2 grams equals 0.070548 ounces.

It's usually a 10:1 ratio.
10 grams wet is about 1 gram dry. 100 grams wet is about 10 grams dry. 35 grams wet is about 3.5 grams dry.
You get the idea
