I checked my jars I inoculated 5 days ago to find a myc. growth but with a light blue tint to it . I chucked one that was really blue but the others look questionable. The jars sat around for 2 weeks before I inoculated...could that be the problem? Could the spore syringe I ordered be contamed?...Since there was nothing in the jars until I inoculated them. Both spores and jars came from shoomery vendors . The contam is fluffy like myc but has a very light blue tint in some spots.

Actually, it is a good idea to incubate before inoculating, but the jars shouldn't be allowed to breathe until the myc. starts to grab hold. Blue would be ok, but not green or gray. Why the myc. would be bluing, I don't know. I would let them do whatever they wanted, then open in isolation and the smell would tell if they were good or not.
