I saw Club Dread on an 8th of shrooms. I laughed at the sluttiness of these two chicks in the movie for about five minutes. The rest of the movie I had this awkward paranoia. Never go to a theater on psychedelics.

Naw, I can't say I have the cojones to do that.
IMO, the ring was the scariest movie ever. Something about it just creeps the fuck outta me. Has something to do with the sounds that play during the video in the ring.

I really liked the Ring. Can't say it scared me all that much (which is a shame as i love being scared) perhaps on some shrooms it'd be more effective. Like the part where she comes out of the tv, she'd be moving through two tv's then. There was this one friend (sober) i was watching it with who couldn't handle it... ...right.
What freaks me out the most is the guy with the white (clownish) face in the David Lynch movie Lost Highway. Mulholland Drive has a reaally eerie vibe to it too. I love Lynch movies. I can imagine myself in a total mindfuck watching one of them ... ah it would be great. Lost Highway is a bit long and boring though - haha i'd think im getting extreme time dilation when really the movie is just that long and boring at parts - still a great movie.
Unless yer going to watch an internet copy or something then I don't recomend watching it at the cinema. Not because the crowd will freak you out but you could end up in hysterical laugher and they'd kick you out. Especially if you take the 7grams like i suggested in my vote!  but then you'd BE the cinema, the movie, the crowd and the security guy kicking you out - so nothing to worry about.

I went a few weeks ago on about 12 grams (dry). I'd taken 8 or 9 grams that morning, then redosed in the evening to see what would happen. I tripped balls. I could hardly walk. It was FUN. People may suspect you're messed up, but that's their problem, not yours.

Yeah....you have balls of steel though......I can't imagine an inexperienced person taking 7gs at a movie theater and not freaking out.

My first shroom trip (2grams), also my first time on any sort of psychedelic, i watched Cabin Fever and Candy Man. Most people around me thought they were scarey but I laughed my ass off through both of them the entire time. It was also in a completely unknown enviroment - some apartment i'd never been to and i only knew one person out of the 6 or so people there which he'd also tripped with me but he was definatly an experienced tripper who also took 25mg of 2c-i with the his 3grams of shrooms. Definatly one of the best times in my life.

I can imagine myself laughing now but back in the day when candyman came out i watched it with my bro (I must've been pretty young) and i was scared shitless after, any time i saw a reflective mirror-like surface. And my bro blocked me in the bathroom saying candyman 3 or 5 times at the mirror then turned the lights off. What a fucker scared the crap outta me - must've been pretty funny tho.

As soon as I saw the preview, I though,"I should go see that on a few grams and get really scared(with a guide or two)". They would be there giving me candy if I started to freak out bad.

obviously there is a strong human desire to explore the dark and macabre and just get scared. It can be exciting. It's the jungian archetype of the shadow. The fear of the unknown. Some people dont respond well to fear and avoid it and some overload themselves with this material and thus get desensitised to it.
I think it is great to explore ones psyche and ones 'shadow' I don't watch horror movies all that much and to be honest some of my dreams freak me out a whole lot more than any movie (cuz they seem so REAL)- but I love lynch movies (cuz they're so dream-like) they can be real eerie.
Obviously in a public place this could very well be a stupid idea (like in the erowid report) but for people that truly wish to explore their psyche they can't avoid their shadow as this is just as much a part of it as the nice happy thoughts we usually want to have when tripping.
So freaking the fuck out watching a scary movie may be just what one wants - then again you could have post traumatic stress type flashbacks for the rest of your life.
